We would like to inform you of a new project: International STEM Awards
It is online platform that collects international challenges on crucial issues for the future such as Sustainability, Life-Science, Energy and Space.
These challenges are aimed at students aged 7-25 years, who can present their projects and ideas to tackle today's problems and promote their future with the help of different technologies (coding, AI, robotics, etc.).
"INTERNATIONAL STEM AWARDS is the Linkedin of the STEM", as it has been defined by the Vice-Rector Prof. Haus of the University of Milan.
INTERNATIONAL STEM AWARDS is a community of talented young people who develop projects related to STEM subjects.
The best projects chosen by national and international judges (national and international Universities and Research Centers) will be awarded. The first event will be in March 14, 2020 at the Politenico di Milano.
Some important university already support the project and have a member in the Scientific Board (Politecnico di Milano, Università degli Studi di Milano, Università Bicocca, EU Joint Research Center in Ispra, Italian National Research Centre, University of Genoa and IIT, University of Naples, University of Zaragoza).
These are the objectives of the project:
- Promoting the attitude to innovation among young and very young people
- Encouraging young people to use technology to think and plan for the future
- Create a network of stakeholders (schools, Universities and companies)
- Promoting teamwork and 21st century skills
- Creating an international showcase
- Inspire (models)
- Tackle reality with an interdisciplinary approach
- Promote gender-equality
