Lep pozdrav, Tatjana

  • 1) Nature-based Solutions (NBS) Project: The NBS project is initiated and funded by the European Commission Directorate-General for Research and Innovation and coordinated by PPMI, in collaboration with European Schoolnet (EUN). Nature-based solutions (NBS) are inspired and supported by nature and ecosystems. As opposed to purely technological solutions, NBS are cost-effective, simultaneously provide environmental, social and economic benefits, and help build resilience to climate change. NBS bring more nature and biodiversity to cities, landscapes and seascapes, through locally adapted, systemic interventions. Examples of NBS are green roofs and green walls to cool down cities in the summer, parks to combat pollution and provide leisure and exercise to citizens, green corridors connecting natural areas, urban food gardens, etc. European Schoolnet’s task in the NBS project is to coordinate the pilot teachers and we are looking for 15 teachers (5 teaching primary education, 5 teaching a STEM subject at secondary level and 5 teaching a non-STEM subject at secondary level) to join the Nature-Based Solutions project (January - September 2020). The full details for teachers can be found here: http://www.scientix.eu/pilots/nbs-project
  • 2) Aerospace in Class Project: The “Aerospace in Class” Project is about integrating STEM resources from the Airbus Foundation Discovery Space in classes for 8- to 12-year-old students. The project is funded by the Airbus Foundation and coordinated by European Schoolnet. The Airbus Foundation Discovery Space is a digital portal for aerospace exploration, connecting students, parents and educators across the globe with professionals in the field, bringing today’s research and technology to life. For this project, European Schoolnet is looking for 11 teachers from 5 European countries (2-3 teachers per country), teaching students 8-12 years old, to join the “Aerospace in Class” Project (January 2020 - April 2021).
