Operating in Slovenia, a country of only two million people, ARNES managed to get over 3,000 people to take part in the country’s first large-scale open online competition on how to use the internet and online devices safely. Sixty-five per cent of those who took part passed the MOOC-V successfully, thereby acquiring digital skills relating to internet safety and the safe use of associated technologies. This included a large number of education workers and students studying education; they are now in the process of passing on their newly-acquired knowledge to younger generations.
