We have prepared this privacy notice to inform you about the processing of personal data carried out at Arnes in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and the law governing the protection of personal data.

Insofar as the Privacy Policy does not regulate a certain aspect of the acquisition and protection of personal data—or regulates it differently from the European and national legislation—the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the law governing the protection of personal data apply directly.

The privacy notice aims to clarify the procedures and purposes for which the data are processed, consents and their revocation, objections, data acquisition and users' rights.

Skupnost.sio.si hosts many personal data controllers, as revealed by the names of the main categories of virtual classrooms.

PURPOSES FOR WHICH THE DATA ARE PROCESSED

We will process personal data for the purposes of informing and participating in the activities of the controllers of virtual classrooms that you will join, as well as for issuing public documents (e.g. certificates).

By joining individual virtual classrooms, you agree to the purposes of processing the data as determined by the controller of the selected virtual classroom.



CONSENTS

In the event of obtaining consent, Arnes will only process the data for the purposes for which the consent was given.

REVOCATION OF CONSENT

Consent may be revoked by a written note sent to the processor’s address.

In the event of revocation of consent, Arnes will stop processing the data that was collected on the basis of said consent. Once the consent has been withdrawn, It is no longer possible to submit any subsequent requests for the issuance of official documents.

OBJECTION

The user has the right to object and may at any time object to the use of the data for the above purposes. An objection may be e-mailed to podpora@sio.si and or sent to the data processor’s mailing address.

DATA ACQUISITION

Arnes obtains personal data directly from the user, or via third parties, in both cases processing the same types of personal data as if it were obtained directly from the user. Arnes may be provided with the user's personal data by a third party who enters into a contractual relationship with Arnes (e.g. a headmaster who collects the personal data of his employees for training purposes). In such cases, the third party is obliged to obtain the appropriate consent for the transfer of personal data to Arnes, and to inform the user about it.

Arnes collects the following information about an individual: first name and last name, email, date of birth, institution of operation or education, participation in educational and training sessions, as well as any issued certificates.

STORAGE PERIOD

Personal data will be stored until revoked in accordance with the purposes of informing and issuing public documents.

USERS' RIGHTS

Users may request the following:

  • A printout of the types of personal data processed by Arnes about the user

  • Correction of data in cases where stored personal data is incorrect

  • Deletion or restriction of processing of personal data; in such a case, the user shall be notified by the controller that the deletion of personal data will make it impossible to grant any subsequent requests for the issuance of public documents.

RIGHT TO FILE A COMPLAINT

In the event that a user is of the opinion that Arnes violated his/her rights in the processing of personal data, s/he may send a written complaint to the data processor’s mailing address.

Users may also file a complaint with the personal data protection supervisory authority or with the Information Commissioner.

FINAL PROVISION

This Privacy Policy is effective as of September 15, 2018.
